Responsibilities
- The Truck Driver drives a truck to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as: manufacturing plants, freight depots, warehouses, wholesale and retail establishments, or between retail establishments and customers’ houses or places of business.
- This driver may also load or unload truck with or without helpers, make minor mechanical repairs, and keep truck in good working order.
- There are two Truck Driver categories on the EAGLE contract. They include:
- TRUCKDRIVER, HEAVY TRUCK: Straight truck, over 4 tons, usually 10 wheels.
- TRUCKDRIVER, TRACTOR-TRAILER: A trailer having a set or several sets of wheels at the rear only, with the forward portion being supported by the truck tractor or towing.
Qualifications
- Heavy Truck Driver candidate must have a Commercial Driver’s License.
- Must have a minimum of 4+ years truck driving experience.
- Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
- Must have a current and valid medical card.
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
- Must have the ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result.
