You will join international, diverse and empowered teams working Ground Systems Engineering for the Space Systems perimeter and supporting the Customers on such products. On top, thanks to the high diversity of jobs and competencies that we can offer in our domain, you will have opportunities to grow. As a Data Processing & Algorithm Engineer, you will bring state-of-the-art software models into the design process together with a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists, engineers and product managers supporting the development of Spacecraft Systems and Services. Data Processing aims at delivering digital data flow to the business to enhance our performance and covering the whole perimeter of the company. You will focus on contributing to end-to-end data quality and processes; especially the link to existing networks around Artificial Intelligence will be key, and will offer you a variety of insights into our emerging technologies. Finally, you will support our end-to-end chief engineering and programmes in their mission to ensure consistency along our ‘Digital Design, Manufacturing, and Services’ toolchain.

Definition VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Introduce Machine Learning based systems, tools, and services that serve as infrastructure to develop and deploy &34;data-driven&34; solutions to our Radar Ground System perimeter.

  • Contribute to define how we use Machine Learning and Data Analytics to develop Spacecraft Systems Operations and Services.

  • Help envision, build, deploy, and develop future data engines and tools which will help develop next generation data processing.

Desired skills and qualifications
  • University degree in the area of engineering, physics, computer science or equivalent

  • Enthusiastic about space system development

  • Proven experience in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming

  • Good understanding of machine learning fundamentals and deep learning

  • Methods: Sound knowledge of supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning, deep neural networks, distributed computing on HDFS / Spark architecture

  • Tools: Sound knowledge of python, Pyspark, linux shell scripting, NoSQL databases

  • (MongoDB, Neo4j…)

  • Implementation experience in machine learning algorithms and applications

  • Able to reach pragmatic and constructive solutions towards end-to-end digital data flow

  • Strong integration, forward thinking and pioneering skills

  • Creative problem solving orientation, speak up capabilities and mindset change

  • Good communication skills and ability to explain complex technical subjects in a simple manner

  • Experience in configuration management and design data management would be a plus

  • English fluent. Fluency in French/German is a plus.
