What You Will Do:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Wichita Falls as a Vane Ring Inspector. In this role, you will perform inspections on parts and components to ensure dimensional quality is upheld per P&W standards. To succeed in this role, you will be someone with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. The person in this role will work on our 2nd shift, which is Monday-Thursday from 3pm-1am. Training will take place on 1st shift (Monday-Friday 5am-3pm) for up to 6 months before transitioning to 2nd shift.
Pratt & Whitney in Wichita Falls, TX is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection on components per written instructions.
Document Inspection results on applicable forms
Identify and schedule repair of non-conforming components
Print all component routers for all products
Prepare final certifying documentation for assigned components
Reading blueprints/drawings, Engine Manuals as required
Work with engineering in repair development and problem solving
Authorize by signature, on behalf of the repair station, the airworthiness of components
Interact actively with spaneting to ensure customer satisfaction
Aid in the development and maintenance of repair schemes
Prepare all necessary documentation for all components
Other duties as required to support company objectives
Qualifications You Must Have
Qualifications We Prefer:
Ability to read and use basic measuring instruments
This position will require qualification as a FAA Part 65 repairman, which you will obtain through on the job training and development
