Weekend shift Fri-Sun 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM - 12 shift differential. 36 hours worked paid for 40 hours (4 bonus hours per weekend)

Job Summary:

The Parachute Technician will inspect and pack aftermarket and production parachutes. Generate/follow a work order, record the parachute P/N and serial number, deploy parachute for inspection, and follow process specs as it relates to inspection and packing. Document the work performed and apply the appropriate signoffs.

Essential Duties:

Parachute Technician will be trained in the appropriate safety practices and procedures, including proper use and location of Safety equipment.

Technician will use the appropriate technical data available during the performance of packing; repack procedures, preventive maintenance and alteration activities at the direction of CI/QC inspectors as appropriate to the work being performed.

Ensure the shop equipment and tools are maintained in good working order at all times.

Ensure the shop premises are maintained in a clean and orderly manner at all times.

Ensure that all packing and assembly processes are appropriately completed, inspected and documented in work process documents.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma.
  • Technical, assembly, or manufacturing skills preferred.
  • College or Technical College education preferred.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

• Able to accurately follow step by step instructions without error
