The woodworker fabricates high-quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using both stationary and handheld tools. This role involves interpreting material specifications and design/engineering drawings to ensure the finished product meets design and engineering requirements with a high level of quality and detail. Coordination with supervision is essential to ensure compliance with customer-approved design samples.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using various woodworking tools.
• Interpret material specifications and design/engineering drawings to achieve high-quality output.
• Coordinate with supervision to ensure compliance with design samples.
• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies to protect aircraft interiors.
• Collaborate with lead and skilled technicians to implement process improvements using 5S and Continuous Improvement techniques.
• Utilize Standard Aero Menu system for material tracking, create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
• Remove and reinstall furnishing in aircraft independently.
• Problem solve aircraft discrepancies with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in using a tape measure and cabinetry skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products.

• Computer literacy.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Flexibility to work any shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Van Nuys, California.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
