A well-established business aviation provider is hiring a Paint Crew Chief to lead a skilled team in delivering high-quality aircraft exterior finishes. This role involves overseeing all phases of aircraft painting, from prep to final detailing, and includes responsibilities for team leadership, paint equipment maintenance, and quality control collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support all phases of aircraft exterior paint work
• Prep aircraft surfaces (hand cleaning, sanding, repairs)
• Apply etch, alodine, primers, and topcoats per manufacturer specs
• Oversee design layout, striping, and masking
• Polish and finish exterior paint to high-quality standards
• Manage job documentation and ensure regulatory compliance (FARs)
• Set and monitor performance metrics for the paint team
• Lead team briefings and liaise with project managers and customers
• Collaborate with Quality Control on inspections and approvals
• Mentor team members and ensure a clean, safe work environment

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a mixed-skill team
• Effective communication in both technical and team environments
• Excellent organization, documentation, and attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude and a proactive mindset for improvement
• Ability to interpret manuals, procedures, and technical documents

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years of corporate aircraft painting experience
• Prior supervisory or crew leadership experience strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $44.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
