Role Summary
* In this role, you will perform aircraft painting and refinishing duties for the organization’s aircraft maintenance and repair operations. You will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes, ensuring compliance with all paint procedures, and maintaining equipment and facilities in top condition. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Must have at least 1–5 years of recent experience as a refinishing or paint technician (Journeyman level) OR 5 years or more of recent experience as a refinishing technician (Master level).
* Must have advanced knowledge of aircraft paint processes, including mixing materials, using color cameras, operating paint guns, working in paint booths and prep decks, and blending single-stage and clearcoat finishes.
* Must have experience interpreting PDS Sheets, mixing ratios, and adjusting spray guns for various materials.
* Must be familiar with hand tools, paint guns, mixing computer, prep deck, and the paint booth.
* Must be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test and Medical Evaluation (full-face or half-face).
* Must comply with all company, OSHA, and FAA safety regulations.
* Must have the ability to perform maintenance and cleaning of paint shop equipment and facilities. Preferred Skills
* You will have basic computer skills for navigating digital training systems, manuals, and paint-matching software.
* You will have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal. Job Duties / Functions
* You will be reading and comprehending PDS Sheets to determine correct mixing ratios and application techniques.
* You will be preparing, mixing, and spraying single-stage, basecoat, clearcoat, primer, anti-static, and sealer finishes.
* You will be maintaining and cleaning paint shop equipment, including paint booths, prep decks, and spray guns.
* You will be ensuring all refinishing work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with FAA and company procedures.
* You will be performing maintenance, cleaning, and minor repair of shop facilities and tooling as needed.
* You will be using computer-based systems to document work, review technical data, and perform color-matching tasks.
* You will be maintaining professional work habits and supporting a team-oriented environment.
* You will be following all safety, quality, and environmental standards established by the organization. Environment/Working Conditions
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., perform routine bending, squatting, standing for long periods, and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
* Must be able to work with chemicals and wear PPE as required.
* Must be willing to travel occasionally to customer hangars for off-site paint work.
