Overview
King Aerospace is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Painter to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring aircraft are refinished to the highest quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in aircraft surface preparation, priming, and painting, with a strong focus on precision and compliance.
Responsibilities
Prepare aircraft surfaces by cleaning, stripping, sanding, masking, and priming as required.
Mix, match, and apply primers, paints, varnishes, and finishes according to specifications and approved procedures.
Apply decorative designs, insignias, and stencils as needed.
Inspect completed work for compliance with quality and safety standards.
Maintain equipment, tools, and paint booths in proper working condition.
Follow company, FAA, and OEM requirements to ensure safety and compliance.
Document all work performed in accordance with maintenance and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements
Previous experience as an Aircraft Painter (MRO or OEM environment preferred).
Strong knowledge of aircraft surface preparation and refinishing techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and paint specifications.
Familiarity with safety procedures, including handling of hazardous materials.
High attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with military or VIP aircraft painting.
Knowledge of advanced coatings and specialized finishes.
FAA repair station or Part 145 experience.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
