We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in painting aircraft surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings to identify tasks required for preparing and applying chemicals and paint to aircraft surfaces.
• Apply safety absorbent to the hangar floor and use a spray technique to remove all existing paint from aircraft surfaces.
• Unmask, re-mask, and protect areas of the aircraft to prevent damage to windows and other sensitive parts.
• Remove stripper, excess paint, and contaminants using water, solvents, air blowers, and brushes.
• Sand, grind, and polish aircraft surfaces, apply putty to body dents, and replace sealers in preparation for primer and paint application.
• Apply Alodine to aircraft surfaces using spray equipment.
• Perform touch-up work as required to ensure a flawless finish.

• Minimum of 10 years of painting experience, including a mix of aircraft and automotive painting.
• At least 3 years of experience painting full body or large aircraft parts.
• Proficiency in using spray guns and other painting equipment.

• Experience with corporate aircraft painting is a significant advantage.

The role is based in a paint booth environment, requiring flexibility in working hours and adaptability to varying tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.00/hr.
