We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Aircraft Painter to join our team in Wichita, KS. The ideal candidate will use engineering drawings to prepare aircraft surfaces and apply chemical treatments, primer, and paint while maintaining high standards of safety, precision, and quality.

• Interpret engineering drawings to determine required preparation and paint tasks.
• Apply safety absorbent materials to hangar floors and prepare aircraft with chemical strippers for paint removal.
• Assist with aircraft movement and positioning throughout the painting process.
• Unmask and re‑mask aircraft surfaces to protect windows, components, and sensitive areas.
• Remove stripper, residual paint, and contaminants using water, solvents, air blowers, and brushes.
• Sand, grind, polish, and perform surface repairs to prepare aircraft for primer and paint.
• Apply putty to dents and replace sealers as needed before finishing.

• Minimum 5 years of painting experience, including a combination of aircraft and/or automotive painting.
• Strong proficiency with:
  • Aircraft and automotive painting
  • Paint preparation and repair
  • Spray gun operation
  • Sanding, grinding, and polishing techniques

• Experience working with corporate jets preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed engineering documentation.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and precision in all tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
