Role OverviewJob Type: Consultant (3-Month Contract, with potential extension or direct hire)
Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Additional hours available before and after posted shift)
Pay Rate: $48.50 per hour
In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing and finishing aircraft surfaces to exacting aerospace standards. Your expertise ensures the durability, performance, and visual excellence of aircraft components.
What You’ll DoAs an Aircraft Painter, your responsibilities will include:
Applying primers and topcoat finishes using spray equipment across simple to complex aircraft surfaces
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and treating materials for paint application
Mixing paints to meet precise color specifications and engineering requirements
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
Performing self-inspection using precision measuring tools (e.g., isoscopes, scales)
Operating and maintaining paint guns, sprayers, and associated tools
Handling rework, touch-ups, and product modifications as needed
Following strict safety protocols, including respirator use and hazardous material handling
Supporting production flow by moving materials and assisting team members
Completing required logs and ensuring compliance with OSHA, BAC, and customer specifications
What You BringRequired Qualifications3–5 years of aircraft painting experience
Strong knowledge of spray applications, primers, and topcoat finishes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Skilled in paint mixing and color matching
Ability to pass respirator certifications and painter skill assessments
Comfortable working 3rd shift and overtime as needed
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Preferred QualificationsExperience working in aerospace manufacturing environments
Familiarity with precision inspection tools and techniques
Knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal practices
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve paint process issues efficiently
Required Safety Certifications (Post-Hire)

Pay Details: $48.50 per hour
