We are seeking a highly skilled Master Aircraft Painter to support aircraft refinishing operations at a high-volume aviation facility in Macon, GA. This role is for a seasoned professional with deep hands-on experience in aircraft paint preparation, application, and finishing. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, compliant paint work on business and commercial aircraft while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform complete aircraft paint processes including surface prep, masking, priming, topcoat application, striping, and detailing
Mix and apply coatings per manufacturer specifications and work instructions
Operate paint booths and related equipment safely and efficiently
Perform paint touch-ups, defect correction, and final finish inspections
Interpret paint schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
Maintain compliance with FAA, OSHA, and environmental regulations
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
Work closely with team leads, inspectors, and quality personnel to meet delivery schedules
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Mentor or support junior painters as needed
Requirements 6+ years of aircraft painting experience (business jet or commercial aircraft preferred)
Proven expertise in full aircraft paint cycles, not just prep or touch-ups
Strong knowledge of paint systems, materials, and application techniques
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Experience working in paint booths and controlled environments
Comfortable wearing respirators and required PPE for extended periods
Ability to read and follow technical instructions and specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs as required
Must be eligible to work in the United States
