Job Description
Join our team as a Painter, where you will be responsible for disassembling and assembling various components and panels on the customer-visible side of aircraft. Your role will involve disassembly, panel preparation for painting or other repairs, and performing your own painting tasks. Additionally, you will work on fiberglass layups, composite repair and re-work, execute mix ratios, and apply decorative laminates using Tedlar.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and assemble various components and panels on the customer-visible side of aircraft.
- Perform disassembly and panel preparation for painting or other repairs.
- Conduct your own painting tasks following preparation.
- Execute fiberglass layups and composite repair and re-work.
- Mix and prepare paint products according to specific ratios.
- Apply Tedlar decorative laminates.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of aircraft or automotive painting experience, with a preference for aircraft painting.
- Experience in aviation or automotive body work.
- Ability to perform fiberglass/composite repair and re-work.
- Knowledge of applying filler and body work in automotive contexts.
- Mixing and batching.
- Capability to conduct own prep work or willingness to do so.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in aviation interiors is a plus.
- Cabinet shop experience, particularly with filler/resin work.
- Experience in corporate or commercial cabinet building/assembling.

Work Environment
You will work in a cosmo shop specializing in paint, composite, and fiberglass rework and repair. The team currently consists of 14 people, with plans to expand to 18. Although most work is scheduled towards the end of the week from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, candidates must be available all 7 days, 24/7, with a set schedule provided. You should be comfortable working in close quarters with the team, where workload distribution is based on skill set. Paint guns are required for this role.

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeton, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
