Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule: Monday to Friday; Selected workers will work 2nd shift primarily. However, must be ready to work any shift/OT/weekends as needed
Pay Rate: $44.00-$48.00 per hour
Role OverviewAs a Painter, you’ll be instrumental in delivering high-quality finishes that protect and enhance critical aircraft components. Your work directly supports safety, durability, and performance in aviation—where every detail matters.
What You’ll DoIn this hands-on role, you will:
Perform a variety of process activities, including painting, metal etching, polishing, heat treating, shot peening, sand blasting, and engraving
Execute spray and brush priming to exacting aerospace standards
Apply topcoat finishes with precision and consistency
Complete hand finishing operations, including blending surfaces to meet strict engineering tolerances
Support decal and metalcal application and related detailing processes
Assist with wire assembly/fabrication and metal processing tasks as required
Set up and test electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and production requirements
Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in Topcoat Caliber painting
Strong understanding of aerospace finishing techniques and surface preparation
Ability to read and follow technical instructions and specifications
Willingness to work 2nd shift (primary) and flexibility for other shifts, overtime, and weekends
Ability to stand and perform physical work for an 8-hour shift
Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
Preferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace or high-spec manufacturing environments
Familiarity with multiple finishing processes (etching, polishing, coating systems)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Experience working with complex assemblies and tight tolerances
