Job Summary:
As a Certified Flight Instructor at Jet Access Flight Training, you will deliver exceptional flight, simulator, and ground instruction through our safety-focused training programs while building valuable flight time and advancing your aviation career. Working with technically advanced single engine aircraft and newer Piper Seminoles, youll shape the next generation of pilots while benefiting from our internal mentor program and potential flow-through opportunities to our Jet Access Charter operations.

Day in the Life:
As a Certified Flight Instructor at Jet Access Flight Training, youll inspire and develop pilots while advancing your own aviation career in our supportive, safety-focused environment. Heres what your role encompasses:
Flight and Ground Instruction Excellence
- Provide high-quality flight, ground, and simulator instruction in accordance with Part 61, 91, and 141 FAA regulations and approved Training Course Outline
- Ensure course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students
- Deliver effective instructional techniques in both classroom and flight environments using provided technology and curriculum resources
- Conduct facilities tours and familiarize customers with JAFT policies, procedures, and flight training courses
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and student needs
Student Progress and Safety Management
- Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate and updated records for all training activities
- Promptly report aircraft maintenance discrepancies to the Director of Flight Training Operations to ensure continued airworthiness
- Collect payments from students and track account balances using provided technology systems
- Ensure safety protocols are consistently followed during all training activities
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students achieve their aviation goals
Professional Development and Curriculum Enhancement
- Attend administrative, standardization, in-service training, and instructor development meetings as assigned
- Recommend and develop curriculum and course improvements based on student feedback and industry best practices
- Stay current with Federal Aviation Regulations, advisory circulars, and evolving training methodologies
- Participate in continuing education programs to maintain and enhance instructional capabilities
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to share best practices and maintain training consistency
Administrative Support and Customer Service
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all curricula authorized to teach and apply effective instructional techniques
- Demonstrate strong Client service skills while representing Jet Access Flight Training professionally
- Assist with new teaching methods and technology implementation as the program evolves
- Support department initiatives that enhance the overall student training experience
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Accesss continued growth and success

What will make you successful:
Required Skills & Experience
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate for Airplane Single Engine Land and Airplane Multi Engine Land
- Current CFI, CFII, MEI, and AGI certifications
- Valid and current FAA Medical Certificate
- Tailwheel and high-performance aircraft endorsements
- Full knowledge of all curricula authorized to teach under Part 61, 91, and 141 regulations
- Strong aircraft piloting skills with ability to demonstrate and teach required flight maneuvers and procedures
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and related administrative and operational procedures
- Ability to teach and perform effectively in classroom settings with required computer proficiency
- Must pass initial and ongoing drug and alcohol testing program requirements
- Must pass Federal Background check and pre-employment screening
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities

Additional Qualities That Will Make You Successful:
- Experience with technically advanced aircraft systems and avionics
- Previous experience teaching in Part 141 training environments
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Familiarity with modern flight training technologies and simulation equipment

- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student learning styles
- Interest in pursuing advanced certifications or ratings (ATP, turbine experience)

- Understanding of career pathways in both Part 135 charter and Part 121 airline operations
