Corvus LLC is seeking an experienced Part 135 Chief Pilot (FAR 119) to help lead and support the continued expansion of our helicopter operations.
Corvus is a growing aviation company with over 30 years of experience in the helicopter industry, supporting a wide range of missions including utility operations, aerial firefighting, external load/long-line work, aerial application, aerial reclamation, wildlife operations, charter operations, and government contract support throughout the western United States.
This position is designed for a hands-on leader who still enjoys flying and field operations, not just administrative oversight. The Chief Pilot will play a key role in maintaining operational readiness, supporting company growth, and helping shape the next phase of Corvus’ helicopter program.

Typical Aircraft and Missions
Aircraft currently operated or supported include AS350/H125 and Bell 206 series aircraft, performing missions such as:
- Wildland firefighting
- External load / long-line operations
- Utility and infrastructure support
- Aerial application
- Aerial reclamation and environmental restoration projects
- Wildlife surveys and wildlife capture operations
- Charter and contract aviation services
Primary Duties
- Serve as Chief Pilot under FAR 119
- Oversee flight operations conducted under Parts 91, 133, 135, and 137
- Maintain and update GOM, OpSpecs, SOPs, and operational documentation
- Manage pilot training, qualifications, and scheduling
- Coordinate closely with maintenance, safety, and operations management
- Support and participate in the company Safety Management System (SMS)
- Conduct operational flying including utility, firefighting, external load, aerial application, aerial reclamation, wildlife operations, and charter missions
Operational Experience Sought
- Significant utility helicopter experience
- Long-line / external load operations
- Wildland fire operations
- Utility infrastructure work such as powerline, construction, or project support
- Experience operating Bell 206 series, AS350 / H125, Bell 407, Bell Mediums or similar utility aircraft
- Experience supporting USFS, DOI, or state wildfire programs
- Wildlife capture or wildlife management flight experience is a strong plus

Rotation / Schedule
Operations include seasonal assignments and field deployments, particularly during fire season.
Schedules may include rotational deployments depending on contract requirements and operational needs.
