The Role - Alaska Drill Support
Heli-Dunn is seeking an experienced AS350 Drilling-Support Long-Line Pilot to fly heli-portable drill rig support in Alaska. This position is based in Alaska, but the pilot may also fly in the Pacific Northwest and the Southeast U.S. as the schedule and missions require. Pilots fly a 3-week rotation in Alaska. 1-2 Week on/off lower 48. Compensation is Salary + Daily + Hourly, with 401(k) and Health Benefits. We are looking for the right motivated person — attitude, work ethic, and drive matter more to us than simply checking every box.
Additional Opportunities
Alaska drill support is the primary mission. Beyond that, the right pilot will also have opportunities in:
- Utility long-line operations
- Powerline vegetation management using aerial tree saws
- Other external-load work as missions come up
Job Requirements
- 1,500 hours PIC in Helicopters
- 150+ hours vertical reference / long-line PIC time
- AS350 series experience
- External Load (Class B) experience
- FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot License
- Current Second-Class Medical Certificate
Preferred Experience
- Heli-portable drill rig support / mineral exploration long-line
- Prior Alaska operations
- Mountain / high density-altitude time
- Utility long-line work
- Powerline vegetation management / aerial saw experience
- Human External Cargo (HEC)
- OAS / USFS Carded
