As a Check Airman you will perform pilot training and evaluation, conduct Part 135 qualification checks, and serve as one of the primary Basic Indoc instructors.

A Day in The Life:

  • Conduct aviation training, evaluations, and Part 135 qualification checks as assigned and qualified for in accordance with the Apollo MedFlight (Integra Aviation) Training Program.
  • Ensure standardized pilot training/procedures are adhered to in accordance with the Apollo MedFlight Training Program, as applicable to aircraft assigned.
  • Assist the Chief Pilot or the Flight Standard and Quality Manager in developing training standards for training procedures and aircraft maneuvers.
  • Assist the Flight Standard and Quality Manager in the continuous development and improvement of the Apollo MedFlight Training Program.
  • Develop and maintain applicable courseware representative of the subject matter.
  • Ensure training material is representative of current Aircraft Flight Manual Revisions.
  • Conduct thorough and in-depth aircraft ground school for assigned aircraft.
  • Operate aviation simulators or Flight Training Devices as required.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating the Basic Indoc Classes
  • Primary Basic Indoc Instructor for monthly classes
  • Work with the Chief Pilot concerning issues related to pilot job performance issues.
Job Requirements:
  • Air Medical experience
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Meet all Line Pilot Qualifications
  • Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings
  • Possess a valid Class II Airman Medical Certificate
  • Able to work 7/7 or 14/14 schedule
  • Able to travel extensively (up to 90% of the time)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Possess sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making
  • Ability to work independently effectively
  • Ability to create an environment that demonstrates teamwork and professionalism with diverse personalities and professional backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain cooperative and harmonious relationships with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong initiative
  • ATP-Rotorcraft/Helicopter (Preferred)
  • CFI-I, Rotorcraft/Helicopter (Preferred)

Line Pilot requirements

  • 2,500 total hours
  • 1,500 total hours of helicopter
  • 1,000 total hours of PIC Helicopters
  • 500 total hours of turbine helicopters
  • 100 total hours of nighttime
  • 100 unaided nights (may be reduced to 50 unaided hours if the applicant has at least 100 aided hours with NVG)
