Our Sales team is the largest revenue-generation department at United. They work closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, and corporate clients.

Job overview and responsibilities

The team is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented analyst with a passion for data and analytics and an eye for detail. Data querying and dashboarding techniques, along with the ability to work in a team and individually, are vital to success in this role. The person must be capable of extracting insights from large volumes of data and communicating relevant triggers and recommendations. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the US and around the world, as well as familiarizing oneself with Uniteds and the Sales departments primary objectives, are essential. This role will require diligence, thoroughness, and a desire to learn and grow with the team.

  • Recommend solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and statistical modeling techniques to address unique issues that will meet the needs of United and our customers.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of reports, successful completion of processes and projects.
  • Improve processes for efficiency and quality through standardization and automation.
  • Reporting support to the frontline selling team to enhance the B2B Sales relationship.
  • Support the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards relative to the Sales programs, products, and sales channel.
  • Own a range of sales systems related tasks critical to the accuracy of CRM records (e.g. sales manager portfolio assignments, IATA channel assignments and customer memberships)
  • Create and maintain documentation as required for the process, ensure compliance of respective business processes through robust controls, update of required sales systems and communication to all relevant parties as per the underlying business processes.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics or another business-related field.
  • 1+ years of related experience in reporting, analytics, and automation.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be competent in querying and manipulating relational databases via Teradata SQL assistant, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Must be familiar with one or more reporting tool- Power BI, Qliksense, Tableau
  • Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and analytical with a desire for continuous improvements
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Handons knowledge of PowerBI, SQL
  • Experience working in Aviation, Transportation, or Hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in at least one quantitative analysis tool- Python/R
