Avionics Sales Representative

Established in 1972, Mayday Avionics has been an industry leader in avionics installations, autopilot service, and avionics repair services for over 50 years.   Mayday Avionics holds FAA Radio Class 1, 2, 3 ratings, Instrument Class 3 for instrument repairs; along with Limited Airframe and Engine ratings to support aircraft maintenance functions.                     

Mayday Avionics currently has an opening for an Avionics Sales /  Business Development person.  This position will be involved in the daily business operations, sales, customer service, project management, flight test evaluations, advertising campaigns, and scheduling.  This position will report directly to the Sales Manager.

• Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.    
• Work with department managers to develop and provide quotes to customers.
• Monitor company conformance to sales proposals, maintain customer contact throughout the project, and ensure all work scope, terms, and conditions are met.
• Maintains relationship with the existing customer base.
• Develops/maintains a relationship with aviation OEMs, suppliers, brokers, and vendors.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities.
• Participate in customer visits to the shop.
• Respond swiftly and courteously to customer inquiries through phone, e-mail, and social media channels.
• Thorough understanding of our business and the ability to discuss our services with customers in a clear and concise manner. 

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an aviation related position.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Assertive, possesses high energy, detail/goal oriented, and is self-motivated.
• Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of social networking (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel
• Knowledge of online meeting and communication tools.
• Proven track record of successful sales experience preferred.
• Pilot’s License preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
