The incumbent will work closely with regional cargo managers, the APAC cargo team and Headquarters. This position offers an opportunity to guide and support cargo teams across the region, ensuring adherence to Air Canada’s standards and commercial objectives.
Responsibilities:Identify business opportunities and areas of improvement through commercial and operational reports on a regular basis.Implement national, regional and local strategies through working with Cargo Sales teams to achieve cargo sales targets.Provide strategic product support to APAC team through workshops with Cargo Sales teamsLiaise with interline, digital teams in growing business in relevant local spanets.Provide commercial support, analytical support & knowledge of the customer base to the regional team.Support the region in the day-to-day management of tactical questions relating to pricing and capacity and space control.Monitor key account performance through regular reviews; ensure performance are on track.Work with Cargo sales teams to identify revenue opportunities with accounts and jointly develop a strategy plan to mutually increase profitabilityAchieve revenue and spanet share improvement targetsDevelop tools to track performance, schedules for commercial and operations.Liaise among internal Departments and managers to align Sales and Operational strategiesEnsure all sales and spaneting plans relating to regional development are executed and managedSpot Rate, Exception Contract, Local Pricing, RFQ and Allocation ManagementEnsure proper billing and address accounting discrepancies, in conjunction with Cargo accounts and Cargo teamsAny other commercial, operational and internal sales support in the region
QualificationsStrong understanding of the cargo business with cargo experienceHighly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated leadership, team playerStrong negotiating and prioritization skillsResults orientedExceptional planning and organization skillsAbility to build strong relationships with internal customersVery analytical skills in dealing with data and general industry informationAbility to cope with irregular or multiple work demandsProficiency with PC Window applications such as Word, Excel and Power PointUndergraduate business degree
