JOB SUMMARY:
AerCap is seeking a highly motivated professional to join AerCap Engines in the role of Manager of Engine Rental Operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Portfolio & Rental Operations, the successful candidate will have responsibility for leading the placement of short-term rentals for spare engines in our portfolio, leading the placement of short-term leases to support the GE Aerospace product support pool, and management of specific portfolio asset types. This role has no direct reports. The Manager of Engine Rental Operations must have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Interface with Airlines, GE Aerospace, MRO management and other industry players to negotiate short term leases and extensions related to spare engines and associated equipment.
- Lead cross-functional deal teams to ensure timely approval and placement of Short-Term rentals in line with approval parameters.
- Ensure pricing and rental targets are achieved for all short-term leases and extensions.
- Co-ordinate engine placement opportunities in conjunction with the Engine Leasing commercial team to secure short-term rentals.
- Co-ordinate with Technical Powerplant and Deliveries teams for engine deliveries/redeliveries and drive resolution of any commercial issues.
- Primary interface with SES for deal approval and placement of owned and serviced CFM spare engines.
- Participate in the spare engine investment framework and maintain a periodically updated engine supply/demand analysis for an assigned engine type/s supporting pricing strategy.
- Participate in development of processes and establishing metrics to drive rental pool optimization and customer satisfaction.
- Customer and OEM engagement and relationship building throughout the course of each transaction.
- Perform other duties as required.
