About Bridger Aerospace About the RoleWe are looking for our first Account Executive FIRE, to lead the charge into new spanets for Ignis, our mobile-first SaaS platform designed to provide a common operating picture for wildland firefighters.
You will own our Agile Sales segment, leading revenue generation across commercial, state government, and international customers in the wildland fire ecosystem. This includes identifying, engaging, and closing new accounts while developing a repeatable sales motion tailored to these spanets.
You will partner closely with our Business Development team, which focuses on large government clients, to ensure clear account ownership and seamless handoffs between segments.
This role begins as a high-impact individual contributor position, where you will carry a quota and directly drive pipeline and bookings. You will also supervise and coach a Sales Development Representative (SDR), helping to build a disciplined outbound and qualification engine.
As the business scales, you will have the opportunity to step into a formal leadership role—building and leading the sales team, defining structure, and shaping the go-to-spanet strategy for this segment.
Key Responsibilities:- Full-Cycle Sales: Manage the entire sales process from initial outreach to closing, focusing on non-RFP contracts.
- Product and Customer Expertise: Provide tailored, engaging demos for a rapidly evolving application present on mobile and web.
- Leadership & Coaching: Answering directly to the VP Fire Business Development, you will supervise one SDR, providing direct coaching on converting Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and scheduling successful AE meetings.
- Supplement SDR prospecting through proactive hunting of revenue opportunities
- Strategic Growth: Assist leadership in defining sales quotas, performance metrics, and commission structures as the team expands.
- Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new verticals where our collaborative field-centric solution can bring value with minimal product updates
- Product Advocacy: Act as a bridge between the customer and our product team to ensure Ignis continues to solve the most pressing field problems.
- CRM Management: Maintain a clean pipeline and provide accurate forecasting for the software divisions revenue goals.
Required Qualifications- 4+ years SaaS Sales Experience: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a Software-as-a-Service environment.
- 2+ years Sales Management Experience: Previous experience managing or leading other salespeople, particularly in setting quotas and performance standards.
- CRM Fluency: With vendor support, able to configure and maintain HubSpot Sales Hub pipelines.
- The "Founding" Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the challenge of building a sales function from the ground up.
Highly Desired Skills- Firefighter Experience: First-hand experience in wildland fire operations, ideally as an IC5 or higher. If you’ve managed the chaos of initial attack, you speak our customers language.
- Geospatial Literacy: Familiarity with GIS and geospatial tools. Ignis is built on spatial awareness; you should be comfortable demoing map-centric workflows
- Firefighter Network: An existing network within small government or private agencies involved in wildland firefighting, either as a primary function or due to proximity to the wildland-urban interface.
Why Ignis? We arent just another SaaS company; we are building tools for the people who protect our communities and natural resources. We are mission-driven with an operational mindset, steeped in a culture of both aerial and ground-based wildland firefighting.
