Position Summary Manager, Leisure Sales in Australia is responsible for leading and managing a sales team to achieve revenue targets and business growth. This involves developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining client relationships, analysing sales data, and ensuring the teams alignment with the companys overall goals. They also play a key role in hiring, training, and motivating sales staff, as well as identifying new spanet opportunities.
Key Accountability- Lead, train and develop the Australia Leisure Sales team to achieve targets.
- Drive sales and spaneting strategies to exceed revenue and grow spanet share.
- Build strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators and partners.
- Identify and grow new business, supporting team to expand customer base.
- Conduct reviews, provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
- Collaborate with other departments for seamless customer experience.
- Monitor spanet trends and competitors, share insights with management.
- Prepare and present sales reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Represent Malaysia Airlines at trade and consumer events (incl. evenings/weekends).
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards and service levels.
- Oversee sales pipelines for accuracy, productivity and target progress.
- Provide strategic input on planning, programs and revenue initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of airline products and the AU leisure spanet.
- Maintain industry networks to unlock opportunities and partnerships.
Qualification & Working Experience- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Aviation Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing within Australia and New Zealand, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
Areas of Experience- Strong knowledge of airline products, services, and the ANZ travel spanet.
- Proven success in Leisure and Direct Sales, with industry connections and partnerships.
- Track record of achieving revenue targets and managing sales pipelines.
- Experienced leader in building, training, and developing sales teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders.

Must be flexible with hours, hold full Australian work rights, a current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
