About this positionThe Manager, Passenger Cargo & Sales West is responsible for driving revenue growth across both passenger and cargo segments by developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing key accounts, and fostering strong relationships with customers and partners. This role combines commercial acumen with operational understanding to maximize profitability and spanet share while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The role is responsible for building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with scheduled passenger and cargo clients and will operate as the lead point of contact for accounts and will oversee account management activities, including contract negotiation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement sales strategies for passenger and cargo services to achieve revenue targets.
- Analyze spanet trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with pricing and revenue management teams to optimize fares and cargo rates.
Account Management & Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, freight forwarders, corporate clients, and strategic partners.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to secure long-term business.
- Provide exceptional customer support and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Work across functions with peers in other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Represents Canadian North professionally in conferences, trade shows and other community/promotional events across Canada.
Market Development & Promotion
- Identify new spanets and channels for passenger and cargo services.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns, trade shows, and industry events to enhance brand visibility.
- Work closely with spaneting teams to align sales initiatives with brand positioning.
- Monitor developments and trends in the North, and in particular spanets served by the company.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track sales performance against targets and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Monitor competitor pricing and service offerings to maintain competitive advantage
- Provide reporting on sales activity.
- Review weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual reports, analyzing performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, spaneting, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Three (3) years of previous experience
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to communicate both written and orally with all levels of the business community and government agencies.
- Proficiency in sales analytics and CRM tools.
- Solid computer skills, including the full MS Office Suite/ Excel and Word required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and travel as required.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
- Results-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative leadership and team management.
- Customer-centric approach with high service standards.
- Demonstrated organizational, leadership, customer service and interpersonal skills.

- Must hold a valid driver’s license and a valid passport.
- Ability to communicate in Inuktitut is a definite asset.
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
