JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Sales & Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for driving sustainable sales growth and profitability in line with AirAsia’s corporate and regional commercial strategies. You will lead and optimise distribution channels, manage key trade relationships, and identify new growth opportunities within a highly competitive aviation environment. This role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and the ability to translate spanet insights into actionable sales strategies.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Formulate, implement, and evaluate sales and distribution strategies to maximise revenue growth and profitability in alignment with AirAsia’s corporate and regional commercial plans.
Drive continued business growth by managing existing accounts and distribution channels, while identifying and developing new channels and spanet opportunities.
Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, KPIs, and performance objectives across assigned territories and channels.
Gather spanet intelligence and actively monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer dynamics to inform commercial decision-making.
Maintain strong awareness of governmental, regulatory, and compliance requirements that may impact business operations within the territory.
Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales performance reports, providing insights and recommendations to Management.
Develop sales strategies and performance frameworks that align with the overall Regional Commercial plan.
Provide insights on global aviation trends, particularly in air ticket distribution and sales, identifying opportunities and potential risks.
Lead, manage, and optimise distribution channels and sales teams in line with AirAsia’s business model and strategic priorities.
Contribute to strategic planning for the offline sales portfolio, ensuring alignment with spanet needs and customer expectations.
Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with trade partners and key customers.
Oversee sales support operations to ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and functional leads to identify and execute new business opportunities.
Review point-of-sale (POS) performance and provide support or intervention where required.
WHO YOU ARE:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of hands-on experience in sales and distribution; experience in aviation or travel is a strong plus.
You’re a proven sales leader who thrives in fast-moving, competitive environments and consistently delivers results.
You’re strong in driving sales performance, building long-term customer relationships, and optimising distribution channels.
You’ve led teams before and enjoy coaching, developing, and motivating people to perform at their best.
You communicate clearly and confidently, with solid negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
You’re comfortable navigating complex products, systems, and business processes — and can translate them into clear commercial value.
You have strong commercial instincts and financial awareness, and you’re not afraid to test new ideas to build smart, cost-effective partnerships.
You’re confident using Google tools and are fluent in spoken and written English.
You’re data-minded, action-oriented, and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
You bring a positive, can-do attitude and are open to frequent travel as the business grows.

Based on your performance and contribution in this role, you’ll grow into becoming a Route Revenue Manager. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maximizing revenue across assigned flight routes through advanced inventory management, dynamic pricing strategies, and demand forecasting.
