We are hiring a Retail Sales Specialist to support customer service, retail sales, inventory management, and store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, processing point-of-sale transactions, managing merchandise inventory, supporting visual merchandising standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day store operations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.
- Process sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and special orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Open and close the store in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Receive, process, and organize inbound and outbound merchandise shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock levels, and merchandise availability.
- Process merchandise transfers, spandowns, Mark Out of Stock (MOS), and Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions.
- Prepare and complete inventory documentation and support annual inventory counts.
- Execute merchandising floor sets and maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Organize and maintain stockroom inventory and storage areas.
- Prepare and process customer merchandise orders and special requests.
- Coordinate store maintenance needs and report facility-related issues.
- Respond to customer and stakeholder inquiries via email and other communication channels.
- Identify, report, and support resolution of safety and housekeeping concerns.
- Restock merchandise and maintain overall store cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Escalate customer concerns and complaints to store management as appropriate.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, vocational training, Associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ year of retail sales, customer service, or related experience.
- Experience operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions.
- Knowledge of inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandise receiving, and retail operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
- Ability to work onsite and perform retail store operational duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of retail sales, customer service, or related retail experience.
- Experience supporting inventory counts, merchandising resets, and stockroom operations.
- Experience processing merchandise transfers, spandowns, MOS, and RTV transactions.
- Experience supporting retail sales goals and performance objectives.
