Role PurposeThe Sales Manager for the Philippines is responsible for driving commercial success in the Philippines spanet by promoting Malaysia Airlines as the preferred carrier for key routes and premium travel. The role involves developing corporate sales strategies, achieving revenue targets, monitoring spanet performance, and ensuring compliance with legal and operational standards. This position requires strong leadership to formulate business plans, foster competitive products and services, and support the Regional Manager in optimizing station performance and achieving business objectives.
Key AccountabilityPromote Malaysia Airlines (MH) as the preferred airline to increase the spanet share for core routes and premium first- and business-class traffic.Oversee all commercial activities within the Philippines spanet.Collaborate with management to develop corporate sales plans and strategies to generate new revenue streams for the station.Monitor the performance of stations, agents, and corporate clients, analyze results, and take corrective actions to achieve point-of-sale (POS) targets.Prepare and submit the stations yearly budget for the region within the required timeframe.Achieve business objectives by meeting monthly and annual revenue targets, in line with the Sales and Marketing plan, for the Philippines spanet.Stay updated on spanet trends and participate in the development of competitive products and services.Formulate and execute business plans and strategies to improve the companys performance, achieving station revenue targets and operational goals within the allocated budget.Understand all aspects of the business to provide direction and facilitate effective decision-making at all levels of planning and operations for the stations.Ensure adherence to and compliance with all statutory and legal requirements for business operations.Assist the Regional Manager in monitoring station performance and implementing improvements as needed.Qualifications & Working ExperienceA degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 5-6 years of work experience, or a diploma in a related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of work experience preferably in the Travel and/or Airline Industry.
