How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Tax Specialist with strong technology expertise in SAP and Vertex or a similar tax engine to join our dynamic tax team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with sales and use tax laws, leveraging technology to optimize tax processes, and supporting system implementations and upgrades. This role requires a combination of tax technical knowledge, software proficiency, and problem-solving skills to enhance efficiency and accuracy in sales tax operations.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Use Tax ComplianceManage and support sales and use tax compliance, including tax return preparation, filing, and remittanceResearch and analyze sales tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictionsAssist in handling sales tax audits, including responding to notices and inquiries from tax authoritiesAdvise internal stakeholders on sales tax implications for business transactions, system changes, and process improvementsTechnology & Systems (SAP & Vertex or Similar Tax Engine)Work with SAP and Vertex or similar tax engine to ensure accurate tax calculations and reportingCollaborate with IT, finance, and tax teams to troubleshoot and resolve tax-related system issuesSupport implementation and upgrades of SAP and Vertex or similar tax engine for sales tax automationProcess Improvement & Data AnalyticsIdentify opportunities to streamline tax processes using automation and technologyAnalyze large datasets from SAP to ensure accuracy, detect discrepancies, and enhance reporting capabilitiesAssist in developing and documenting best practices for sales tax processes and system controls

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Minimum 4 years of sales and use tax experience, preferably in a corporate tax or consulting environmentProficiency working in SAP and Vertex or similar tax engineStrong understanding of U.S. sales and use tax lawExcellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to details in order to analyze large datasets and create reports using Excel, Power BI, or similar toolsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teamsConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
