Role Overview

The role is responsible for leading and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, expand spanet share, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves managing the sales team, developing new business opportunities, and collaborating across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, spanet expansion, and customer acquisition goals.
  • Conduct competitor benchspaning to refine pricing, promotions, and service offerings.
  • Utilize customer insights to enhance product offerings and improve customer experience.
  • Monitor spanet trends, economic shifts, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt strategies.

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and motivate the sales team to meet individual and collective targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies and trade bodies.

4. Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with airlines, hotels, and travel companies.
  • Represent the airline at industry events to enhance brand visibility and secure new deals.

5. Financial Oversight

  • Collaborate with revenue management to align sales strategies with pricing and yield objectives.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance to senior management.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with airport operations, spaneting, customer service, and other departments to ensure consistent customer experiences.
  • Provide input on spaneting campaigns, promotions, and loyalty programs.

7. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Present regular reports, forecasts, and spanet analyses to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • Experience: 7–10 years in sales management, preferably in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry.
  • Skills:
    • Leadership and team management
    • Strategic thinking and analytical ability
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Salesforce
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
