Location: Lutz, FL Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM Pay: $25.38–$29.23/hr
Shape the Story Behind the SoftwarePDS Tech Commercial is looking for a sharp, driven Technical Writer – Software to join our dynamic team in Lutz, FL. This is your opportunity to dive into cutting-edge simulation technology, reverse-engineer complex software, and craft the documentation that brings clarity, insight, and functionality to end-users and engineers alike. Your work won’t just explain the tech—it will help define how it’s understood.
What You’ll DoAs a Technical Writer, you’ll bridge the gap between complex code and clear communication. You’ll collaborate with engineers, examine real-time simulator software and hardware, and produce high-quality content that meets industry and company standards. Your daily focus will include:
Analyzing and reverse-engineering software (C++, C, Python, Bash) to understand structure and behavior
Creating clear, structured documentation such as block diagrams, interface diagrams, and functional descriptions
Developing Doxygen content for in-code documentation
Writing comprehensive user and process manuals, technical specifications, and support documents
Working closely with subject-matter experts to refine and validate content
What You’ll BringRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or Physics
Minimum 2 years of experience with C++, C, and Python software development
Strong working knowledge of Git version control and Microsoft VS Code
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Proven ability to understand and explain complex systems
Comfortable working on multiple writing projects simultaneously
Experience collaborating with engineering teams to create supporting visuals and diagrams
Preferred Qualifications:Experience applying Artificial Intelligence to analyze code and generate documentation
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools
Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Pay Details: $25.38 to $29.23 per hour
