​This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for managing the content of the Credit Union’s published internal policies and procedures.

What youll do
  • Translate intangible development ideas into clear, concise and accurate documentation for end users
  • Create easy-to-follow instruction guides on internal procedures
  • Provide clear directions for handling real-life compliance issues
  • Deliver multi-purpose documents for product introductions
  • Collaborate with product owners to develop and update policy and procedure documents
  • Conduct research to gather additional information when necessary
  • Maintain a consistent voice in delivered content
  • Produce final versions for publication after required approval
  • Verify with internal resources that processes are written and working correctly
  • Proactively identify informational updates and make corresponding edits to materials on a timely basis
  • Confer with all work groups to identify areas of opportunity and ensure that expectations are being met with regards to available documentation
  • Balance imagination with hands-on practicality
  • Keep abreast of new and current trends in the financial industry
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • The selected candidate will be responsile for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​High school diploma or GED
 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Additional college-level coursework with a writing emphasis  
  • Experience in writing, editing and proofreading detailed documents
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with additional publishing applications

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Skilled in superb written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a professional and collaborative manner with individuals from different organizational levels and varied backgrounds
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
  • Ability to create and submit an assigned project for review by hiring manager as part of the selection process
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Abilty to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
