Overview

We are seeking an experienced Part 107 City Manager to lead and support drone operations within a designated city and surrounding region. The ideal candidate will hold a valid FAA Part 107 certification, have strong leadership skills, and be able to manage operational teams, scheduling, training, and performance management while ensuring all service requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership:
  • Identify and ensure resourcing at the sector and nest level to maintain uninterrupted services.
  • Provide capacity and availability information at the location and sector level on a weekly basis or upon request.
  • Ensure daily availability of FlightOps Personnel to meet operational requirements.
• Scheduling & Coordination:
  • Create and maintain work schedules for Tier 1 FlightOps and Tier 2 support personnel.
  • Schedule training events and coordinate supporting activities as needed.
• Team Performance & Training:
  • Manage and evaluate employee performance, take corrective action when necessary, and address performance issues promptly.
  • Conduct training as outlined in the training manual, eLearning courses, and facilitated learning programs.
  • Deliver classroom and/or group training for up to five Tier 1 FlightOps trainees at a time on systems, operations, and safety requirements.
  • Provide practical field training for nest equipment inspections (pre-flight and post-flight).
  • Support the maintenance of training and evaluation records and assist in the development of new training programs.
• Subject Matter Expertise:
  • Provide input on curriculum design and updates for training programs.
  • Participate in reviewing current operational practices and making process improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Certification (must be current).
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Proven ability to take corrective action and manage employee performance effectively.
• Experience creating and maintaining work schedules.

Preferred:

• Experience in drone operations, flight operations management, or aviation-related supervisory roles.
• Prior experience in training program development or delivery.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
