Drone Maintenance & Test Technician - Recent A&P grads and Military Avionics MOS encouraged to apply. Must be open to a 6-week initial training program in California. Lodging and transportation will be provided for. Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm, some flexibility needed due to the field testing nature of the job.
Overview
Supporting the upkeep and testing of next-generation aerial systems. This role is based at our dedicated test site, where we push drones to their limits through environmental stress evaluations. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to validate performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to design improvements.
What You’ll Do
- Pull production drones for field trials, repairs, and durability checks in challenging conditions.
- Perform component replacements and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Review test plans for feasibility and resource alignment.
- Build and configure test setups based on engineering requirements, including interpreting diagrams, installing instrumentation, and managing data collection.
- Diagnose issues during testing and provide clear, data-driven reports that identify root causes.
- Construct large-scale fixtures and safety structures for full-system evaluations, such as wind simulation rigs and tethering systems.
Core Qualifications
- Mechanical, electrical, avionics, robotics, or related technical fields.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, assembly, repair, and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with complex devices in a testing or repair capacity.
- Familiarity with aircraft or robotic systems in a production or R&D environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
