Drone Cadets LLC is a unique Drone Education Program designed to produce safe and responsible drone pilots of any age. We work with schools and organizations throughout the tri-state area and beyond, to bring life-changing technology education to students, families and under-served populations here and throughout the world. Drone Cadets is the most fun and engaging drone education program anywhere. We’ve helped teach 5,000+ students worldwide to become safe and responsible recreational drone pilots.

We are looking to find educators, drone professionals and post-secondary students willing to be trained and certified to teach our Drone Flight School curriculum in-person to children grades 2 – 12.
Right now, we are training instructors to start immediately and deliver Drone Flight School and enrichment programs in-person throughout the greater New York area. Many assignments will continue for the entire school year. Additionally, we always need instructors during the day in the summer, so we’re anxious to establish a continuing relationship.
What we offer:

What we require:
- A passion to feed fertile young minds, to open new windows of opportunity, and help develop sustainable future careers for everyone.
- Experience, or a desire to learn how to train young people to use new technologies.
- An investment of about 12 hours to become Certified as a Drone Cadets Instructor. (Mandatory)
- An affinity for Technology (e.g., STEM, Coding, Drones, Robotics, Computers, etc.)
- Experience using a phone, tablet and computer; and how to connect various devices.
- Reliable transportation to the class location (vehicle or public transit).
- Ability to communicate loudly, watch, listen and carry up to 30 pounds up a flight of stairs.
- A professional attitude and responsible work ethic.

Pay: $40.00 per hour.

Schedule:
- After school, Monday through Friday (1 to 5 days per week, depending on the number of classes you teach)
- Evening & Weekend availability a plus
Experience:
- Teaching or Training Experience, or Students of Education: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience and/or Education dealing with children (a plus)
- Although no prior drone experience is required, Drone Enthusiasts, of all backgrounds and experience levels, are encouraged to apply (a big plus!)
- Experience with LMS Platforms (like Moodle), and Zoom or Google Meets (Helpful)
- Ability to understand an speak Spanish is a plus.
License/Certifications
- Substitute Teaching, or Teaching Certification (a plus)
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (a big plus)
