Position Summary

**This Position is Contingent Upon Contract Award

MAG Aerospace is hiring for a UAS Operations Subject matter Expert (SME) who shall provide extensive knowledge/experience to support to UAS policy review and development, with specific reference to higher level [Congressional, DHS, CBP, OMB, FAA, DOS, DOC, etc.] impacts/consequences of AMO UAS policy, acquisition and operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise as it relates to the integration support and operation of AMO large and medium UAS.
  • Execute requirements for all assigned tasks from inception to conclusion; provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements and/or optimization development for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.
  • Provide expert advice regarding the Homeland Security Acquisition Regulations, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Federal Aviation Regulations, International Civil Aviation Organization Standards and Recommended Practices, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as well as the overarching Department of Homeland Security policies covering UAS acquisition and operation, for both domestic and foreign operations.
  • Support technical information for reports/white papers and produce draft briefings or other relevant materials on unmanned aircraft systems topics as directed by the Government to support the CBP/AMO UAS Program Manager for Acquisitions.

Job Requirements:

Requirements

Experience:

  • Must have at least 15-years’ experience in military or law enforcement aviation.
  • Must have at least 10- years’ experience supporting UAS operations.
  • Must have experience successfully coordination for matters pertaining to UAS operations with one or more of the following:
  • Federal Aviation Administration, Department of State, Department of Commerce, and/or the Department of Homeland Security
  • At least 5-years of DHS Agency level program experience required
  • At least 5-years MQ-9 UAS program experience required

Education:

  • Master of Science (MS) or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Science, Unmanned System Applications OR other similar degree required

Clearance:

  • TOP SECRET CURRENT OR ABILITY TO ACQUIRE ONE

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
