As a Payroll Coordinator II, you will report to the payroll manager and perform a wide variety of recordkeeping and payroll processing activities. You will manage SNCs subsidiaries payroll runs, labor timesheet adjustments, processing contractor timesheets and staffing agency invoicing activity. And you will assist in timesheet audits and responds to employee inquires regarding payroll related inquires.
As SNCs corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, spaneting, and communications.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- 2 or more years of payroll processing experience in house or equivalent
- Understanding of taxable income
- Experience reconciling timesheet labor
- Ability to process basic functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid communication skills and excellent customer service
- Strong math and numeracy skills in calculating payroll payments.
- Knowledge to accurately calculate paycheck deductions and knowledge of pretax and after-tax deductions from pay.
- Knowledge of Federal and FLSA employment laws and requirements. Maintain payroll confidentiality.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Analytical abilities, time management, organizational and communication skills are essential
- Well versed in multiple state employment laws
- State and Locality tax withholding experience
- Costpoint/Deltek system timekeeping experience
