The Boeing Company is looking for a highly motivated Mid-Level Security & Fire Protection Multi Operations Specialist in Portland, OR to support and enhance security, fire operations, and emergency preparedness across the Portland and PDX sites.
This role will focus on physical security, access controls, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. The position requires a dedicated individual and strong teammate who can effectively integrate security, fire operations, and emergency management functions into a cohesive safety framework.
As the Security & Fire Operations focal for our partners, the selected candidate will need to be a strong communicator and an independent contributor that takes initiative and ownership.
Position Responsibilities:
Security Operations:
Facilitate site badging and access control programs to safeguard personnel, property, and proprietary information
Oversee security measures to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with Boeing policies and regulatory mandates
Conduct security assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to mitigate risks
Manage security technologies, including surveillance systems and electronic access control
Collaborate with law enforcement and internal security partners to resolve security incidents as needed
Support threat management program, identifying potential risks, implementing proactive security strategies, and serving on the threat management team
Oversee the protection of sensitive corporate and proprietary information, ensuring compliance with process and policies
Fire Protection:
Support Fire Prevention program in partnership with dedicated Fire Professionals
Partner with team to ensure monthly compliance checks are completed to standard
Support annual testing of fire prevention systems
Conduct site walks to validate safe operational environments
Emergency Preparedness:
Assist in the development and execution of site-wide emergency management program
Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including annual evacuation drills and employee preparedness planning
Maintain awareness of site hazards and threats, adjusting postures as needed to enhance resilience
Training & Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and deliver training to employees, focusing on access control, emergency response protocols, and site safety features
Collaborate with local fire departments, first responders, and regulatory agencies to ensure site familiarity, strong relationships, and emergency readiness
Engage with business and Enterprise S&FO partners to ensure best practice and program alignment
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Limited telecommuting opportunity may be available.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working in security, fire protection, and/or emergency preparedness
3+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
3+ years of experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with physical security design, risk assessment methodologies, and security technology integration
Experience with fire protection systems and emergency response coordination
Experience with emergency preparedness programming from employee engagement to the incident command system
Experience with hazardous-materials and operational compliance

Summary pay range: $85,000 - $115,000
