Job Description

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect solder and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 requirements.
• Utilize inspection instructions, drawings, and checklists with various measuring devices to ensure compliance with manufacturing and industry specifications.
• Identify non-conformances in cables per IPC-A-620 and other specific requirements.
• Monitor and verify quality through statistical process or other control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues.
• Interpret drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control documents, and work instructions.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting solder connections on surface mount and plated through-hole components, as well as the coating of PWBs.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong in the manufacturing process of cable inspections.
• Experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables using IPC-A-620 standards.

• Certifications in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 are beneficial.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with electronic assembly, PCB, and wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools, microscopes, calipers, and micrometers.

Work Environment

The facility in Oldsmar is a large, highly regulated, and safety-conscious manufacturing space. It is climate controlled and air-conditioned, providing comfortable and well-spaced workstations for employees. The work schedule offers flexibility with the first shift from 5 am to 3:30 pm and the second shift from 3:30 pm to 2 am, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLDSMAR, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr.
