Job Description:

Description:Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Desired Skills:
1. Proficiency in using simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim, Simul8, SIMIO) to model, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes.
2. Familiarity with predetermined time systems such as MTM (Methods-Time Measurement) or MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique).
3. Proficient in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing and analyzing manufacturing systems.
4. Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software for planning and controlling production processes.
5. Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes & tools. Green Belt Certification preferred.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
