VIE Definition
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Your challenges:As a member of the Airbus Middle East Africa Customer Services team you will contribute to an initiative aiming at supporting the development activities of Airbus working parties in the region. Your scope will be:
1. Main point of contact for all procurement activities related to the Dubai Working-Parties:
Oversee general procurement efforts, particularly in setting up a new warehouse in Dubai for the HEAC project, including items like hand tools, cutting tools, and machine tools.
Collaborate with the Procurement team to define and create technical specifications for required materials.
Coordinate with the warehouse manager to address emerging needs.
Manage budget and KPIs in partnership with the warehouse manager.
Assist the Procurement team in identifying and engaging local suppliers.
Update the General Procurement catalog with new items and suppliers.
2. Hangar Preparation at DWC Airport:
Define and document all hangar requirements based on local regulations and Airbus Working-Party needs.
Work closely with the Quality department to ensure compliance with Part 145 regulations and coordinate activities between two different Part 145 organizations.
Source suppliers for Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including forklifts, vehicles, tow tugs, etc.
Develop technical specifications for the Procurement team.
3. Warehouse and Working-Party Relocation:
Plan and manage the transfer of the Warehouse and Working-Party team from DXB Airport and DAFZA (Airbus headquarter) to DWC Airport.
Coordinate the logistics of transferring Working-Party activities to DWC Airport, including tools, materials, and documentation.
Suggest improvements for the new warehouse setup.
Boarding Pass:
You have a technical background (you have worked on assembly line or industrial environment)
Ideally you have experiences on aircraft tools and methods
English is mandatory, french is a plus
