Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our general aviation maintenance team. The ideal candidate will perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on piston single- and multi-engine aircraft. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance with FAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on piston aircraft (Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, etc.).

  • Troubleshoot and repair airframe, powerplant, and related systems (fuel, hydraulic, electrical, environmental).

  • Conduct 100-hour, annual, progressive, and phase inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.

  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately in aircraft logbooks and company records.

  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with pilots, owners, and team members to identify maintenance needs and provide technical support.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Stay current on FAA airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and manufacturer updates.

Job Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate – required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical school or college degree in aviation maintenance preferred)

  • 1–3 years of experience maintaining piston general aviation aircraft (will consider recent graduates with strong aptitude)

  • Familiarity with aircraft such as Cessna, Piper, and Beechcraft piston singles and twins

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance instructions, wiring diagrams, and schematics

  • Proficient in troubleshooting airframe and engine systems, including electrical and fuel systems

  • Must own and maintain a basic set of hand tools

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Physical ability to:

    • Lift up to 50 lbs

    • Work in varied weather conditions (hangar and ramp environment)

    • Bend, climb, crawl, and stand for extended periods as required by the job

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to FAA regulations and company policies
