Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the General Manager-MRO and is responsible for overseeing and directing all work performed by technicians. The Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure that the procedures outlined in the Repair Station Manual as well as all FAA Regulations and manufacturer’s instructions are complied with. In addition, the Supervisor will be responsible for regularly communicating with customers regarding the progress of work.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assigning qualified personnel to the jobs performed and ensure that all repairs are accomplished by acceptable methods and techniques and in accordance with the specifications set forth by the manufacturer in the service manuals, the Federal Aviation Regulations, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives and other data approved by the FAA.
  • Responsible for planning, directing, supervising the activities of the shop in order to achieve “On-Time” delivery and increase production and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all work accomplished will be completed in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance and repair instructions and TITLE 14 CFR part 43.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and developing technician staff.
  • Ensure that all applicable repair station forms utilized by the maintenance department personnel are properly completed.
  • Ensure that proper tools and equipment are available and those tools are maintained in serviceable condition and ensure that any tool which is found unserviceable for any reason will be removed from service. He/She will be responsible for good housekeeping and will ensure that housing and facilities and safety precautions are adequate.
  • Required to be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the repair station manual, FAA Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Advisory Circulars, Manufactures Service Letters/Bulletins and engineering orders.
  • Use experience and technical expertise to meet completion and production schedules and produce the quality our company has come to expect.
  • Assure that all safety precautions are taken and that available protection devices are properly used at all times when applicable to the tasks performed, in order to reduce the risk of possible injury and health problems resulting from performing assigned tasks.

Job Requirements:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This work requires the following physical activities.

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Industrial/Hangar environment.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Certificate, preferred.
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

Supervisory experience required.

  • 5+ years' experience in a FBO or aviation service center environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working with Beechjet, King Air, Piper & Socata TBM Aircraft.
  • Strong understanding in 145 repair station operations/regulations required.
  • Knowledge of FAA Regulations
  • Strong customer-centric mindset.
  • High degree of technical knowledge with respect to FAR’s and aircraft inspection programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers in order to achieve company objectives.
  • Proven experience in projecting time and parts required for any specific discrepancy and knowing how to assign those tasks to each mechanic based on their talent and experience level.
  • Excellent skill sets with electrical system troubleshooting and well-versed on King Air Dual and Triple Fed buss systems.
  • Excellent skill sets with PT6A-series & JT15-series engines including Hot Sections/Rigging/Troubleshooting & fully “Run Qualified”
  • Willing to work off location, weekends and overtime as needed.

  • Ability to pass a drug screening test
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Clean driving record

  • Overall knowledge of aircraft that are worked by this location.
