Aircraft Maintainer Senior Lead – PC-12
Manages the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft components to verify aircraft are safe for flight and compliant with FAA/EASA and OEM regulations. Acts as advisor to aircraft maintenance team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Ensure compliance with national and international standards; consider environmental and health/safety standards; establish and maintain quality controls; document all work; ensure test procedures are properly executed.
•Supports all scheduled and un-scheduled aircraft maintenance operations and completes all required tasks in support of contract specific Statement of Work.
•Performs/Supports daily organizational level maintenance in accordance with technical data and directives; renders technical assistance and instruction to maintenance personnel on the assembly, operation, service repair and modifications of assigned aircraft.
•Must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned. Will also be proficient in the use of the current maintenance management system utilized to maintain Army aircraft forms and records.
•Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections. Computes basic weight and balance records.
•Participates in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required. Ensures compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army oil analysis Program and test measuring diagnostic equipment (TMDE) calibration.
•Provides lower level technicians guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies.
•Prepares evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities.
•Must be capable of qualifying to perform Hazardous Flight duties as Crewmembers/Non-Crewmembers. Personnel filling these positions are required to meet the qualifications in AR 95-20.
Experience and Abilities
•Eight plus (8+) years’ experience working on rotary/fixed wing aircraft and components.
•Must have prior experience managing and repairing PC-12 fixed wing aircraft
•FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License, or international equivalent
•Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge of airplanes to understand diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
•Understand root causes of aircraft problems and how to correct those problems.
•Prior experience in a supervisory role managing a team of aircraft maintenance technicians
•U.S. military experience desired
•High school diploma or GED.
•Technical or Military School Training desired
•FAA Inspection Authority (IA) desired
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
•OCONUS: Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
•Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
•Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
•Good physical condition.
•Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
