Desert Sand Aircraft is looking for quality FAA Airframe and Powerplant lead technicians to join our team. We need A&Ps/IAs that can fit in quickly with our fleet and team, have a positive attitude, and have turbine fleet experience.
This position entails; performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on our fleet of DHC-6 Twin Otters and C208 Caravans with TPE331 engines as well as managing a small team of A&Ps and recordkeeping. This position requires travel and flexibility, as well as attention to detail and the ability to adapt to our airframes and engines and train newer A&Ps.
Responsibilities:
- Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policies.
- Quick learning to get current on new airframes and systems.
- Ensure consistent, accurate maintenance records by properly documenting and completing required forms, and logbook entries
- Manage parts inventory, purchase parts, maintain relationships with suppliers
- Manage team of fellow A&Ps/helpers
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment
- Perform duties in a safe manner
- Travel to aircraft outside of home-base as needed for scheduled inspections or on-demand repairs
