B. General

This is a full time, FLSA, exempt position, responsible for Engineering Reliability Specialist support at the Company in support of Technical Services which includes providing overall reliability and engineering technical support to Aircraft Maintenance and other departments as needed. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of FAR Part 121 and/or FAR Par 145 requirements. Good communication skills are required, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
C. Duties and Responsibilities

The Engineering Reliability Specialist reports to the Director of Technical Services with the following duties and responsibilities:

·Validate alerts and provide corrective action along with cost/maintenance program impact;
·Identify chronic aircraft discrepancies and provide updates when requested;
·Interface with appropriate areas to support the functions of the Engineering team;
·Research and evaluate service bulletins and service letters and other for possible fleet incorporation through the reliability and engineering process;
·Collecting and codifying technical data for statistical analysis;
·Analyze technical data from the aircraft maintenance log, aircraft service records and shop findings report to determine cause and failure trends;
·Produce Reliability Report used to determine system performance and failure trends and distribute the report to the FAA and applicable Technical Operations department heads on monthly basis;
·Produce on-demand technical reports as needed to evaluate aircraft, powerplant and component reliability performance;
·Review aircraft operational data for input to reliability data files;
·Filing of component teardown reports, and file maintenance;
·Conducts investigations and root cause analysis on failed components and aircraft systems;
·Preparation and distribution of monthly metrics;
·Perform additional duties, responsibilities and authorities as defined in each applicable chapter of the GMM;
·Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technical Services or VP Maintenance and Engineering;
Job Requirements:

D. Education, Qualification and Requirements:

·Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associate degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required;
·Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) rating preferred;
·Must have at least Five (5) years working in an aircraft maintenance organization that maintains different types of large airplanes (having 10 or more passenger seats) as part of a Part 121 air carrier or Part 145 repair station;
·Must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible positions in manufacturing, airlines, engineering with three years in powerplants, systems or airframes and one or more years in a supervisory role;
·Root Cause and corrective action analysis qualified. Greenbelt certified, (Blackbelt preferred) or on your pathway to being certified.    
·Familiarity with AMOS or other similar maintenance systems preferred;
·Previous supervisory or leadership experience in managing a team is preferred;
·Demonstrates excellent management, communication skills, professionalism, and positive customer service attitude without compromising quality;
·Ability to communicate effectively; in both oral and written communication;
·Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets the Company’s insurance standards;
·Pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC);
·Eligible to work in the United States.
Salary Range: $85,000-$90,000 annual
