Mechanic with Airframe and Power Plant. Must be able to perform work assigned, including but not limited to the overhaul, repair, alterations, servicing and performance of routine maintenance as well as non-routine maintenance on aircraft, components or the related parts of aircraft. While working on aircraft, components or related parts of the aircraft, perform work as outlined on the applicable work forms, in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance manuals as well as the company approved maintenance program. Sign for accomplishment of work on applicable forms and/or records, and be responsible for the work performed. Perform work with leadership skills, leading and directing the work of other employees as required. Responsible for the training and workmanship of any trainee assigned. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Ensure that all labor and materials used are allocated to the proper work assignments. Stay familiar with the fleet’s current MEL's (Minimum Equipment Lists). Must read and learn the procedures of company General Maintenance Manual, the Operations Specifications, the GOM, and the provisions of 14 CFR 135, and other applicable regulations necessary for the performance of his duties.
Have some experience maintaining aircraft as a certificated mechanic. To be considered for a Lead Mechanic, 3 years out of the last 6 years maintaining aircraft is required.
Must hold Mechanic’s Certificate with both airframe and power plant ratings or one specified maintenance area.
Must complete a minimum of 8 (eight) hours training in company GOM, records, forms, and procedures, and must work under close supervision until determined to be qualified.
