Quality Assurance Auditor-Based in LAX

Candidate will implement quality control standards, processes, and controls. Develop methods for maintenance/inspection
training. Assist during FAA audits, customer audits and conduct internal audits. Evaluates operations capabilities and recommends improvements. Assist
in developing quality control policies and procedures. Ensures the quality control system meets regulatory, customer, company requirements. Work with
deploying and maintaining the SMS.
Job Functions:SMS management and compliance. Work with Managers to ensure proper allocation of inspection
workforce in the 145 Repair Station. Validate Quality Documentation of employees. Attend weekly meetings to keep Operations current on QA/QC issues
and to provide support as needed. Develops sampling plans using quality standards, and process control instructions for use by the repair station to
monitor and reduce variations. Leads team/s that include customer and/or supplier representatives to identify and permanently resolve problems. Assessing
Line Maintenance Operations to the 145 CFRs and Part 121.Participate in external quality control audits at other line stations as required. Assist in
audit NCR/CAR responses resulting from internal or external audits. Track and maintain the data base of all audits. Validate conformance to Quality System aspects of operations to regulatory standards foreign and domestic. Assist in developing training programs on topics such as inspection, receiving and proper documentation. Review
and approve vendor/supplier surveys. Work with the training manager in maintaining a quality training program. As Necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative. General computer and office skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word are a must.
EDUCATION or TRAINING:Education in Aviation/Aerospace Quality Assurance Management, or 5 or more year’s related field experience i.g. FAA Parts 145, 135 or 121. Directly worked
with the related job experience and actively participated in the successful completion of an FAA, CASE, ISO 9001 or customer Audit.
Minimum Knowledge, Abilities, And Skills Experience in QA functions: A FAA 145 Repair Station or equivalent e.g. Parts 121 or 135, experience in QA Functions
Aviation & Power Plant License (A&P) (Airframe License acceptable) Knowledge of FAR’s, working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. Background and
experience preferred in AS9110, and the technical discipline of SMS.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Posses or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport for travel required for accomplishment of job duties. Ability to travel extensively (25%-40%) with
overnight stays to support job functions throughout the network. Travel may include overseas.
