Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Inspector I to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure aircraft parts, subassemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built in accordance with engineering specifications, FAA requirements, and company quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform inspection activities using engineering drawings, work orders, route cards, inspection travelers, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures, and related documentation.
- Conduct preliminary, in-process, progressive, and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems.
- Verify functional operation of aircraft components and assemblies.
- Inspect for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Witness, verify, and document required manufacturing process steps.
- Perform conformity and first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures.
- Verify aircraft parts, assemblies, and installations meet design and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment and actively participate in company safety initiatives.
- Immediately report workplace hazards and contribute to risk reduction efforts.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
- Perform area inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support company quality and safety objectives.
