Offshore Infrastructure Management & Engineering (OIMe) Project Management Support
Job Description:
  • Conduct project management responsibilities and provide technical support for installation of Navigation, Weather and Communications systems/equipment on oil platforms in the Gulf and various other coastal locations.
  • Manage equipment installation requirements.
  • Develop/maintain implementation plans and schedules.
  • Identify critical path milestones.
  • Prepare/manage budgets, financial resources and records.
  • Identify/manage risks.
  • Participate/interface in project management, technical interchange meetings, and Gulf strategic planning activities with external Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facilities throughout the Louisiana and Texas region including helicopter companies operating in the Gulf.
  • Work directly with energy companies to install Surveillance Broadcast Services (SBS)/FAA equipment.
  • Perform ADS-B coverage analyses and prepare Google Earth coverage charts.
  • Evaluate/recommend antenna requirements for offshore ADS-B equipment installations.
  • Analyze platform locations supporting Gulf weather coverage interfacing with the National Weather Service (NWS).
  • Prepare/provide formal papers, presentations, and briefings for various internal/external entities.
Job Requirements:
  • A BA/BS in an engineering discipline, aeronautical/aviation science, or technical field; 15 years’ experience in flight operations; and/or offshore oil/gas industry exploration and production; and/or aviation-related systems engineering experience including technical analysis, development, production, test/evaluation and implementation of related systems. 
  • A master’s degree in any field counts for 3 years’ experience; expert technical writing and public speaking skills; expertise in Office 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); aptitude for using Google Earth to create/export maps in KML format. 

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in any field; 5 years working with a FAA office
  • Current/previous member of an Aviation Safety or Offshore Energy Company Organization (Helicopter Safety Advisory Conference ‘HSAC’, Helicopter Association International ‘HAI’, HeliExpo, Offshore Operators Committee); must be comfortable in obtaining Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET), SafeGulf certification, and trained weather observer certification.

Desired:

  • Significant project management experience and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
